It's a little short for starters. Also some of the figures are on a different page from the text so you have to search for them. The book is more descriptive than detailed. The chapters on microprocessors and signal processing don't have any real world examples, just general stuff. The purpose of this book is to explain how microchips work and many of the issues considered in their design. I try to explain the physics so that anyone can understand it and at the same time include details that only experienced designers and device engineers know.
